How to Join a 7 Days to Die Server (and Fix Connection Errors)

Option 1 – The in-game server browser

1. Start 7 Days to Die and click Join a game.
2. Use the search / filter to look for the server name.
3. Select the server and click Connect.

If the server doesn't appear, clear your filters – some hide servers with mods, with a password or with high ping.

Option 2 – Connect by IP

1. In Join a game, click Connect to IP.
2. Enter the address and port, for example play.nastyz.eu and 26900.
3. Click Connect.

Option 3 – A join link

Many server websites have a Join button that starts the game through Steam and connects you straight away. On nastyz.eu it's the big orange button on the home page.

Fixing connection problems

"Version mismatch"

Your game version must match the server's. Check for updates in Steam (right-click the game → Properties → Updates), and make sure you are not on an experimental or beta branch the server doesn't run.

Easy Anti-Cheat (EAC) errors

Most public servers run EAC. If you get an EAC error:

• Start the game through Steam with EAC enabled (the default launch option)
• Verify the game files in Steam
• Don't run client-side DLL mods on EAC servers

Timeouts and "connection lost"

• Restart the game and try again – servers sometimes restart for updates
• Check your internet connection and close heavy downloads
• If it keeps happening, ask the server's Discord – they can see if the server is up

"Server is full"

Popular servers have a player limit. Try again in a few minutes, or check if the server offers reserved slots.
